Serge PEY

pey-serge

Born in 1950, writer, poet, artist, between archaeology and ethnology, Serge Pey remains one of the most singular creators of international poetry-action. Experience of the limits of language, political and philosophical commitment to poetry, critical examination of performance, questioning the contradictions of a modernity reflecting an hallucinated society of the war of egos, status of the role of the avant-garde, are the central themes evoked in his theoretical research.

His creative texts illuminate in a relevant and polemical way the role that the poet can play in the urban spaces of a society that propels poetry out of the book.
