A 'storyteller without borders', the award-winning senior Canadian journalist and photographer collects stories from around the world. Co-founder of The Hidden Beauty Project, she has also written the national bestseller Maskoon for young readers based on a real haunted palace in UAE filled with Jinn stories, and published a bilingual Spot and the Little Boy, based on a real orphan refugee boy and his orphan kitten, with author's profits donated towards helping orphans. Her third book is currently in the works.

Ghazal is also a peace ambassador, former war zone correspondent, cultural diplomat, environmentalist and one of the founding team of writers for The National newspaper. She also worked with The National Geographic, Globe and Mail, Daily Star, Huffington Post and other media. As a dyslexic, Ghazal was told she would be unable to be a writer. With three books and over 2,000 articles published and as a mentor for many new journalists, she is testament that all is possible if one believes in a dream and follows it.
