Francisco Carrillo is an essayist and university lecturer. He has a PhD in Hispano-American Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s from the University of Puerto Rico. He currently works at the Revista de la Universidad de México and lectures in the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, UNAM. He is the author of the books Excepción de Bolaño, crisis política y escritura de la derrota (2014) and Fuera de foco: cinco derivas por la obra de Juan Rulfo (2021).
