A writer of Argentinian origin, Laura Alcoba writes in French. La danza de la araña, winner of the 2017 Marcel Pagnol Prize in France, concludes the childhood trilogy begun with La casa de los conejos and El azul de las abejas. She is also the author of Jardín blanco, Los pasajeros del Anna C. and A través del bosque (Par la forêt), a novel published in 2023 in Spanish by Alfaguara translated by Eduardo Berti. In the same year she published Les rives de la mer Douce (The Shores of the Sweet Sea) in France, which was widely praised by critics.
