Master’s in Communication from the Universidad del Norte with a degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University of Bogota. He has more than 16 years of experience in journalism. He was a journalist and editor with the newspaper Q'hubo, and then General Editor of the newspaper El Universal, where he won the Simón Bolívar award in 2023 with the special report Cartagena, un diamante en pobreza extrema. He is currently a full-time lecturer on the Social Communication programme at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.
