(Bucaramanga, 1959), winner of the 2020 Premio Iberoamericano SM award for Child and Young Adult Literature for her oeuvre, is one of Colombia’s foremost writers when it comes to writing about the meaning of childhood. This consummate columnist and novelist is also the creator and manager of the Espantapájaros kindergarten and bookshop in Bogota. In 2021 she published El Reino de la posibilidad (Penguin), a collection of essays about how literary language is embedded in the history of emotions.
