Born in Barcelona in 1945, Rosa María Calaf obtained degrees in Law and Journalism. Prior to her latest post in TVE as the correspondent for Asia Pacific, Calaf has worked as correspondent in Moscow, New York, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Canada and Rome. In 2001 she was named journalist of the year by the Colegio de Periodistas de Cataluña and received the Ondas award for her career.
