Pep DURÁN

duran-pep This busy Spanish writer and publisher is a specialist in children’s books and tells stories using illustrated albums that he always has at hand. Durán is a lecturer on the Pompeu Fabra University Master’s in Publishing and runs the storytelling workshop at the Ateneo Barcelonés. He has given conferences on matters related to education, libraries and bookselling in Sao Paulo, Caceres and Lisbon. His work promoting children’s books and reading has been recognised many times, with prizes such as the Culture Ministry’s National Prize, the Josep Mª Boixareu Award and the Cross of Sant Jordi. Furthermore, Durán has been a judge on panels for awards related to children’s writing and illustration such as: Los Ilustrados del Barco de Vapor, the Edebé Prize for Children’s and Young People’s Literature and the Barcanova Prize for Young People’s Literature.
