Mark Skipworth, deputy editor of The Telegraph, began a career in newspapers as a cub reporter in the north of England before moving to The Sunday Times where he spent 19 years as a correspondent, investigative journalist and senior editor. In 2008, he joined The Telegraph where he has overseen sport and the flagship Saturday paper.
