Sangeeta Datta is a writer, filmmaker and film historian. She promotes South Asian arts in UK. Her recent, critically appraised feature film Life Goes On is produced by Stormglass Productions. She writes and directs for stage and the world premier of her new production Gitanjali - a tribute to Tagore - was held at the Royal Festival Hall on 22nd April 2011. She has made documentaries ( The Way I see It, In Search of Durga, Working with Worries) and short films (Letter from an Ordinary Girl) and was the associate director of Brick Lane (UK feature) and has enjoyed a long collaboration with Rtiuparno Ghosh on several films including Chokher Bali, Raincoat, Antarmahal and The Last Lear.
