A graduate in Information Science from the Madrid Complutense University, Oscar Campillo started working as a correspondent for the Diario de León in Astorga and La Bañeza in 1984. He then became editor of the provincial section of the paper. In February 1986, Oscar joined La Crónica de León as editor of district news. He also became director of the Burgos edition of Diario 16. Since September 1998, he has been the director of the Valladolid and Castile León edition of the Spanish daily El Mundo. He contributes to a programme on Punto Radio called “La Rebótica” which is produced and presented by Enrique Beotas.
Campillo was director of Radio Televisión de Castilla y León when it started broadcasting in 2009 and he is now the director of the sports daily Marca.
