(Valladolid, 1958) Member of the Parliament since 1989, he has been Secretary of State for international Cooperation and for Iberoamerica and Secretary of State of Culture. At present he is the representative for Valladolid and member of the Popular Parliamentary Group in the Congress. He initiated, among other things, the creation of the Carolina Foundation and the programme “Spanish art abroad”. He’s on the board of Patrons of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and a member of the Architecture & Design Committee of the MOMA in New York.
