(Jordan) Samar Dudin, one of the pioneers of Drama and Theatre inEducation in Jordan and a lifelong cultural activist, is Regional Directorand Head of Programs at Ruwwad Al Tanmeya a Community and Youth EmpowermentOrganization founded by Fadi Ghandour in 2005. Samar organizes communityled campaigns tackling literacy , child safety and better parenting.
In 2006 she founded the youth empowering initiative Takween OpenSpaces in Amman Jordan and has developed several innovative andmulti-disciplinary initiatives that integrate education, development and thearts targeting mainly children, youth and their caretakers in localcommunities.She is also the director /creator of many innovative communitybased theatre pieces her latest being "tareeq Mo"nes"
Samar graduated from Santa Clara California with a degree inTheatre Arts. She is a member of The Advisory Committee of the ArabEducation Forum, a founding member of The Creative Network Initiative and aboard member of The Jordanian Children's National Museum, a founding boardmember of Al Balad Theater, and a founding member of Mujtama3 an arab platformfor Community Organizers. Samar has also worked as member of the taskforce of the national agenda on social welfare and poverty and as a trainer onleadership with the International Women’s Forum. She dedicates her time indeveloping Ruwwad s Programs and regional expansion in the Arab World .
