(Colombia) A Colombian alternative hip hop band that has become one of the most famous Latin American groups on the international scene. With a mixture of urban sounds and traditional music from the Pacific coast, the group has made its name independently, rising to become one of Colombia’s ambassadors to the world. Its innovative sound fuses US funk and hip hop with Jamaican reggae and elements of electronic music to produce elaborate beats; it also works with traditional Pacific coast rhythms such as the bunde, the currulao, the bambazú and the aguabajo, and others from Latin America and the Caribbean, like salsa.
