(Colombia) A resident of Cali for many years, Dorado Zúñiga began his career in the media by making documentaries, particularly through Rostros y rastros, a space promoted by the Universidad del Valle and Telepacífico, which tested his skills as a director and editor. His works as a director include his first, El rey (2004), winner of the Best Colombian Film at the Bogota Film Festival and nominated for a Goya award and an Oscar; Te amo Ana Elisa (2008); and Apaporis, secretos de la selva (2012), a documentary that involved the participation of Wade Davis, writer of the book One River and a National Geographic explorer. His latest feature film, which was released in 2013, is entitled Amores peligrosos.
