She has more than two decades of experience in neurology, first at The Royal London Hospital and lately at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. She is one of the world’s foremost experts in treating patients with psychosomatic illnesses and epilepsy. Her book It’s All in Your Head, winner of the 2016 Wellcome Book Prize 2016, takes us into the fascinating world of psychosomatic illnesses, with extensive examination of real cases.
