Maylis DE KERANGAL

(Toulon, 1967) French writer. She studied History, Philosophy and Ethnology; she has worked in publishing and is the author, among other works, of the novels Je marche sous un ciel de traîne, La Vie voyageuse, Corniche Kennedy and Tangente vers l’est and the short story collection Ni fleurs ni couronnes. In 2012 she won the Landerneau Prize for her novel Tangente vers l'est and in 2014 her novel Réparer les vivants won the Grand Prix RTL-Lire, the Prix des Lecteurs L’Express/BFMTV, the Prix Relay and the Prix Orange du Livre. She has recently published Birth of a Bridge (2014) and Mend the Living (2016) in English.
