(Boulogne-Billancourt, France, 1961) French lifeguard and novelist. Author of If Only It Were True, one of the bestselling French novels of the early 2000s, made into the Mark Waters film Just Like Heaven. In 1984, he moved to the United States and set up a digital images company (Rambow Images). His most recent books are The Strange Journey of Mr Daldry (L'étrange voyage de Monsieur Daldry) (2011), Replay (Si c'était à refaire) (2012), Stronger than Fear (Le voleur d'ombres) (2013) and Another Idea of Happiness (Une autre idée du bonheur) (2014).
