(Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1991) With his first novel, De belofte van Pisa, he has established himself as a brave new voice in Dutch literature and has won over both the public and international critics. The novel has been published in Dutch by Prometheus, in German by the prestigious Austrian imprint Residenz and in Spanish by the independent Columbian publisher Rey Naranjo Editores. In 2016 the book was adapted for the theatre, and was very successful. Currently, a film is being made with the screenplay that Bouzamour himself has written. The author is an editor at Het Parool newspaper, writes for the Dutch editions of Elle and Cosmopolitan and is working on his second book.
