Anna Woltz, who was born in the Netherlands in 1981, has written twenty-one books for young readers. Some of her books are adventurous stories for ten-year-olds, others are challenging young-adult novels. Her books have been translated into nine languages (English, German, French, Slovenian, Norwegian, Danish, Hungarian, Japanese and Taiwanese) and have won several prizes. Woltz was first published when she was fifteen years old: she wrote a weekly column about her high school life for a national newspaper. She studied History at Leyden University and is now a full-time writer.
