(Lima, Peru, 1980) He studied Sociology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In 2005, after publishing the novella Habrá que hacer algo mientras tanto, Chile’s Qué pasa magazine rated him as one of the eleven young Latin American fiction writers with the highest international profile. He has also published the novel Todas mis muertes (Alfaguara, 2006). His life has involved a series of complicated projects: he edited the magazine Lamujerdemivida in Peru, he is co-director of the Matalamanga publishing house and runs the Niñolee Civil Association, whose goal is to promote reading among children in Peru. He also regularly publishes articles for Peruvian and foreign magazines.
