Kim AAKESON FUPZ

aakeson-fupz-kim (born 1958) Illustrator and author. He made his debut for children in 1984 with ‘Hvem vover at vække guderne’ (‘Who dares to wake the Gods?’). Kim Fupz has written for both adults and children and in many genres. He graduated as a script writer from the Danish Film School in 1996 and has written scripts for films, TV and the theatre since then. Of his children’s books, especially the books about a boy, called Vitello, are well-known and loved by many children and adults. In 2015 they were turned into a short animation. Kim Fupz has been awarded many awards and much credit for his variety of books, including Gyldendal’s Big Children’s Book Award in 2010 and the Orla Award in 2014. Kim Fupz Aakeson is a member of the jury, who has selected the 39 young European authors who were asked to contribute to the anthologies ‘Right here’ and ‘Right now’.
