(Madrid, 1971) Pilar Adón is a fiction writer, poet and translator who began to write at a very young age. Her novel Las hijas de Sara (2003) was listed by critics as one of the ten best novels published that year. Her book of short stories Viajes Inocentes (2005) won her the prestigious Ojo Crítico Fiction Prize of the same year. Her short story collection El mes más cruel was shortlisted for the Premio de la Crítica prize in 2010. In 2015 she published the novel Las Efímeras and in 2017 a volume of short fiction, La vida sumergida.
