Guillermo MARTÍNEZ

(Bahía Blanca, 1962). Doctor in Mathematics from the UBA. He is the author of the short story collections Infierno grande and Una felicidad repulsiva, of the novels Regarding Roderer, La mujer del maestro, The Oxford Murders (translated into thirty-seven languages and made into a film by the director Alex de la Iglesia), The Book of Murder, selected in Spain as one of the ten best books of the year, and Yo también tuve una novia bisexual (all published in Spanish by Planeta). He has also published the non-fiction books Borges and Mathematics, La fórmula de la inmortalidad and Gödel (para todos), this last book written with Gustavo Piñeiro. He has won, among others awards, the Fondo Nacional de las Artes prize, a Konex Award and the 2003 Planeta Prize.
His last novel, Los crímenes de Alicia (2019), was awarded with Premio Nadal de Novela 2019.
