Valentina Toro is a writer and illustrator from the city of Medellin. She has a Master's degree in Creative Writing. Her books include Las peripecias de Violeta, Violeta y el pincel encantado, Los niños imaginarios, El pájaro de ébano and Mi monstruo y yo. She has also illustrated books for different authors such as Lawrence Schimel, Irene Vasco, Barbara Lowell and Kate Messner, and has collaborated with publishers in Colombia, the United States, South Korea and the United Kingdom. She currently works with the Advocate-art Agency in New York.
