An Anthropology graduate from the University of the Andes, she also took a degree in 20th-century Literature at the EAFIT University in Medellin. She writes poetry and prose. She is the founder and Managing Director of SÃlaba publishing house. For over 10 years she ran literary workshops in Medellin: at EAFIT University and at the Piloto Public Library. She has also co-edited the magazine Odradek, el cuento. Her published works include Sol de estremadelio (poems, 2005), Alfabeto de infancia (short stories, 2009), Cambio de puesto (short stories, 2012) and Los ojos que me nombran (poems, 2014).
