Javier Gómez Santander is the Screenplay Coordinator and Executive Co-producer of the acclaimed series Money Heist. Gómez worked as a press, radio and television journalist for 15 years, until he decided to leave the profession and concentrate on writing, which is how Money Heist came about. It was the first Spanish series to win, in 2018, an International Emmy Award (Best Drama category), one of the most prestigious media awards, given by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Shown in 190 countries, the third season had over 44 million viewers in the first week of broadcasting. It has become one of the most popular non-English language productions on Netflix. The series, whose fourth season will soon be showing, was one of the ten most successful shown by Netflix in 2019.
