We have now fully completed our agreement with the Arts Council of Wales to rescue Brecon Jazz festival from its failure in 2008 and to deliver it in a new format for three years. It’s been a pleasure to work with such brilliant musicians, and we’re thrilled with the extraordinary press reviews of Sarah Dennehy’s programming. We are now focusing our work for 2012 on Hay in the 25th anniversary next year and on other developments in our home town. We are deeply grateful to the Arts Council of Wales and to Powys County Council, to the Friends of Brecon Jazz for their support, and to Sarah Dennehy and Elaine Madden for their exceptional programmes. We understand that the Arts Council will be pursuing discussions with Powys County Council about approaches for the future.
