The Hay Fever 2011 programme is now online and open for booking. With an even bigger programme this year, there’s even more for tots, teens and in-betweens to get involved in.

Safety Policy – Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Both adults and children require tickets for entry to events, unless otherwise stated. The lost child point is located in the Make and Take Tent in the Hay Fever Courtyard.

Our blog is constantly being updated – this year sees guest contributors taking to their keyboards to give you a peek behind the scenes of Hay.

A big thank you to Hannah Shaw, our wonderful illustrator, who has brought to life our sheep neighbours, just over the hedge from Dairy Meadows, having a festival of their very own. And last but by no means least, a big cheer must go to all the artists, publishers, sponsors and volunteers who make Hay Fever so darn special each and every year.

Elen Caldecott
Before becoming a writer, Elen was an archaeologist, a nurse, a theatre usher and a museum security guard. It was while working at the museum that Elen realised there is a way to steal anything if you think about it hard enough. Elen either had to become a master thief or create some characters to do it for her – and so her debut novel, How Kirsty Jenkins Stole the Elephant was born. How Ali Ferguson Saved Houdini and Operation Eiffel Tower swiftly followed.
