Disabled INFO

Merthyr Rock is committed to being accessible and enjoyable to all. Please speak to our Box Office staff if there is anything else we can do to make the festival more comfortable for disabled festival goers.

Car Parking

Accessible car parking is available for valid Blue Badge holders - please reserve your space with the Box Office when you book tickets. This parking is limited and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Site

The festival is held on grass parkland, and as such there are areas of the site that are uneven.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available on site in the main toilet block. Please see the site map for exact positioning.

Assistance Dogs

Registered assistance dogs are the only animals allowed on the festival site.

Performances

Please be aware that some performances will use strobe lighting and lasers without prior announcement.

There is a raised viewing platform available for disabled people towards the rear of the main venue, which provides a good view of the stage.

Personal Assistant Tickets

In order to ensure that MERTHYR ROCK is accessible to everyone, we may provide disabled Blue Badge holders who require full time assistance with a free ticket for a personal assistant (PA). You will need to fill in the PA application form and provide a copy of your most recent DLA letter showing your current entitlement.

To apply for a free ticket for a PA, purchase your own ticket as normal, then please fill out the downloadable application form and send it back to us at MERTHYR ROCK Box Office, The Drill Hall, 25 Lion Street, Hay-on-Wye HR3 5AD along with a copy of your latest DLA letter.

Download the application form

All applications for PA tickets must be received by 15 August 2012. Any applications received after this date may not be processed. We do not issue free tickets to anyone making their request on the day at the event. We will send out letters in advance to confirm whether PA applications have been accepted. PA tickets can only be collected from the on-site box office and will not be sent out in the post in advance Should you need further assistance with this please contact our Box Office directly on 01497 822 629
