First acts are on stage approx. 30 minutes after the gates open. Please check back here for stage times and signing times the week before the festival.
There is no readmission to the festival site, so please make sure you have everything you may need with you.
Tickets
It may seem obvious, but if you don't have an official ticket you will not be admitted onto the festival site. Booking forms and receipts are not accepted in place of tickets.
ID
If you are lucky enough to look under 21 and you cannot provide photographic and holographic identification when asked you will not be served at the bar.
Forms of ID we accept: Current Drivers Licence, current Passport (not photocopies), and the following cards (part of the PASS Scheme www.pass-scheme.org.uk) CitizenCard, VALIDATE UK, ProofGB
Money
Don't forget to bring enough money for essentials such as transport fares, food, drink and merchandise sold at the festival. There will be no ATM on site.
Clothing
Check the weather forecast before you come and prepare for rain (waterproofs), shine (sunnies and hats) or both. The evenings can get chilly, so bring an extra layer to keep warm.
Medication
Whether it's insulin or inhalers, make sure you have everything you need on you for the duration of the festival.
The following items may not be brought into the site:
- Aerosols over 250ml
- Air horns & Megaphones
- Alcohol
- All gas canisters of any size (including nitrous oxide)
- Any goods for unauthorised trading
- Any items which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon.
- Drinks bottles, other than sealed plastic water and soft drinks bottles 500ml and under.
- Excessive amounts of cigarettes - Cyfarthfa Park is a non-smoking public area.
- Excessive amounts of food
- Fireworks & flares
- Glass
- Illegal substances
- Legal highs
- Portable laser equipment and pens
- Unauthorised professional film or video equipment
Any person in possession of such items may be refused entry and items will be confiscated.
Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities onsite may be searched.
No animals are allowed on-site at all, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

Please do not bring irreplaceable items to the festival. Merthyr Rock and security cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.
If you find anything whilst at the festival please hand it to the nearest steward, recognized by their bright yellow t-shirts, and we will try our best to return it to its owner. All property either found or handed in will be kept with security for the duration of the festival. They will then be held centrally until two weeks after the event.
We are very privileged to be able to use the stunning Cyfarthfa Park. It's the perfect location for Merthyr Rock and we would like to be able to come back year after year. To do this we need your help keeping the local community, businesses and residents happy.
Please ensure you leave the site quietly.
Observe the parking restrictions around the site and do not park in the resident parking areas. Apart from causing an annoyance to the residents you will be issued with a parking fine and may be towed away.
Please be put all your litter in the bins provided, to help keep the park and the surrounding area tidy.
