The Storymoja Africa crew presents a show about land, about tribe, about personal discovery, about relationships. It is no ordinary reading of poetry, but a spirited invocation to Kenyans to colonise their own history. It rants, sweats, dances, breaks into song and dance. Sitawa Namwalie’s words invade private spaces, challenge, engage and seduce.

Cut Off My Tongue can also be seen in London, at Hampstead Theatre on 23 May and at Centerprise on 28 May.
