Alan Barnes Octet

Bruce Adams – trumpet, Andy Panayi – saxes and flute, Art Themen – saxes, Mark Nightingale – trombone, Alan Barnes – saxes and clarinet, David Newton – piano, Alec Dankworth – bass and Bobby Worth – drums.
The Alan Barnes all-star octet will feature music from several of Alan's 8-piece projects and will include music from his 'Sherlock Holmes Suite', 'The Marbella Suite' and the 'New Italian Radio Orchestra'. Also on the eclectic menu will be several pieces by Duke Ellington and a few gems from the Johnny Hodges small band repertoire. Great arrangements with plenty of space to feature stellar soloists.
