This workshop will explore how to use contemporary short stories to teach languages. There will be materials specially designed for teachers of English as a Foreign Language and a session conducted by the British authors Melvin Burgess and Beverley Naidoo. In addition, the plenary session given by Scott Thornbury, a world expert in the teaching of English, will be broadcast live from Osaka via www.livestream.com.
