Reappraising the figure of Azaña
Paul Preston, one of the most praised British Hispanists, biographer of Franco and King Juan Carlos, will speak to Santos Juliá, columnist for the newspaper El País and biographer of Manuel Azaña, as well as the author of numerous essential books on Contemporary Spanish History. In this event the figure of Azaña as a writer, prime minister and president of the Second Spanish Republic will be discussed.
