Imagine the World

Hay Festival Querétaro took place between 1-4 September 2016.

The dates for the next edition are 7-10 September 2017.

Designed as a festival of ideas for all, we had a programme of talks, debates, conferences, lectures, plays, film screenings, concerts and workshops with more than 110 guests from 17 countries. We had guests such as writers JMG Le Clézio (Nobel Price in Literature 2008), Elena Poniatowska, Juan José MillásEduardo Sacheri, Cees Nooteboom, Martín Caparrós or Nell Leyshon; cinema actors as Jorge Perugorría and Leonardo Sbaraglia; Human Rights personalities as Ahmed Galai (Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet, Nobel Peace Price 2015) or Luis Moreno Ocampo; journalists as Carmen Aristegui, Diego Enrique Osorno, David Dufresnes and Sanjuana Martínez; and shows with The Suffers, Marwan and Jis y Trino.

Hay Festival also included a programme for kids and teenagers, with the booktubers Valeria Hernández and Alberto Villarreal; Javier Ruescas, Benito Taibo, Wonder Ponder and Juan Gedovious.

FROM THE HAY FESTIVAL QUERÉTARO WE PROMOTE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND EDUCATION. Literature, visual arts, cinema, music, geopolitics, journalism, the environment... all go together with dialogue and celebration.
