Welcome to the Hay Festival in Segovia

I love Segovia. I love the food, the hotels, the architecture, and the way the light and rain fall around the city. Most of all I love the people, who have been supportive and encouraging and welcoming to the writers and readers from around the world who come here to celebrate. The city seems to conjure a delightful balance of seriousness and ease. It is open and generous, and shares its treasures with all its guests.

We have gathered together some of the world's greatest storytellers, thinkers and entertainers for this second festival. They all have the ability to challenge prejudices, fire our imaginations, and make us see the world anew. And they are great company. The Segovia audience is the perfect match for them, and a magical context to enjoy the conversation.
