It’s a special birthday year and we hope you will have a great time at our ten-day Festival celebration.
Hay Fever is the Guardian Hay Festival's programme for families and young people. Hay Fever is for anyone who likes stories, whether you're a toddler or a teen. We choose all our author events with the utmost care, searching out authors whose books we know you love, or whose books we hope you are going to love. Our full mid-week programme of authors
includes some firm favourites such as
Michael Morpurgo and Malorie Blackman,
and exciting new faces like Andy Stanton
and Sophie McKenzie. All our authors will not only inspire and
amuse you from the stage, but will be in
Pembertons, our on-site bookshop, to
sign books after their events.
A big thank to Oliver Jeffers for letting us use his beautiful illustrations this year. To see more of his painting and his children's books visit www.oliverjeffers.com

Our workshop programme is more varied and outstanding than ever. Communicative babies can learn to sign, creative youngsters can try pottery and craft, and we're very excited to have a number of activities led by RSC professionals.
