  • The Festival site is a short five-minute walk along Brecon Road into the centre of Hay. For the more adventurous, there is a wealth of challenging, enjoyable, breathtaking and health-inducing walks to be had around Hay.

    Walking bus
In cahoots with Ramblers Cymru, we also offered a 'walking bus' on Saturday 23 May 2009. This roundabout 30-minute walk from the town centre to the Festival site and back along the river bank gave ramblers a chance to discover some of the hidden delights of Hay, and improve their health! The walking bus was led twice in each direction and entertained with local snippets and insights by Helen Lloyd Jones, Chair of Ramblers Cymru.
