CUARTETO PIATTI

cuarteto-piatti

Founded in 2016, the Piatti Quartet has made its name as one of the most promising and best known young ensembles in Querétaro and Mexico. With an extensive repertoire, from the Baroque to the contemporary, and from classical to popular music, the Piatti Quartet has made great strides in promoting music for cello quartets, working on new pieces for one, two or four cellos with composers such as Mauricio Beltrán, Félix Huerta, Luis Obregón and Fausto Castelo, who wrote the first work dedicated to the Piatti Quartet, called Cuatro Movimientos. The quartet also plays works by Vivaldi, Corrette, J.S. Bach, Mozart, Fitzenhagen, Piatti, Gardel, The Beatles, Queen and more. They have taken classes with major cellists such as Álvaro Bitrán (the Latinoamericano Quartet) and the soloist and educator William Molina. The ensemble is currently made up of Guillermo Sánchez, Luis Arcos, Carlo Camero and Roberto Morales. They have played to great acclaim at the Querétaro City Museum, CEART (Querétaro), La Salle University, the International Cello Festival (Leon), the Embassy of Ecuador in Mexico and others.
