Alfredo García Servín studied Spanish Literature at the Autonomous University of Guanajuato, and is a retired lecturer from the Autonomous University of Querétaro. He has published more than thirty books and works in schools. He writes for and tells stories to children and young adults. He has won two state-wide short story contests and one national fiction competition, the 1990 Jorge Ibargüengoitia. He has had books and stories published by the regional governments of Querétaro and Guanajuato, UAQ and UNAM universities, and other institutions.
