Rosa Ramírez Mazaheri is a Mexican-Iranian writer. She was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and emigrated to the United States at the age of thirteen. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Smith College, specialising in subversive poetry written by women and queer people in Latin America. In 2022, she received the Iowa Arts Fellowship and graduated with an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. She currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her wife, her dog and her cats.
