Matthew ENGEL

engel-matthew Matthew Engel was a journalist on the Guardian for 25 years, covering most of the major news stories of the time, and also their cricket correspondent. He was the editor of Wisden's Cricketer's Almanac for 12 years and, since 2004, has been 'the least fiscally aware columnist of the Financial Times'. He has written two books, Extracts from the Red Notebooks - published to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust Laurie Engel fund, founded in memory of his son who died of cancer in 2005 - and Eleven Minutes Late. He lives in Herefordshire with his wife and daughter.
