Rodrigo HASBÚN (Bolivia)

From Cochabamba, Bolivia, this novelist and screenplay writer is the author of the books El lugar del cuerpo (2007), awarded with Santa Cruza de la Sierra National Literature Prize, and Los afectos (2015); and of the short story collections Cinco (2006), Los días más felices (2011) and Cuatro (2014). In his short but impressive career, he has won the Unión Latina Prize for Hispano-American Short Fiction and has appeared on the list of best young Spanish-language fiction writers drawn up in 2010 by Granta magazine. As a screenplay writer, he has won the Petrobras Literature and Film Screenplay Prize for Los viejos, co-written with the filmmaker Martín Boulocq and based on a story by Hasbún, Carretera. His latest novel is entitled Los años invisibles (2019).
