(Madrid, 1944) Spanish journalist and writer. CEO of PRISA, leader group of Information, education and entertainment in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries. He is also President of the newspaper El País in Spain (the Spanish Global Journal) and belongs to the Royal Spanish Academy. He studied Philosophy at the University Complutense of Madrid, where he obtained a Degree in Information Sciences. Founding Director of the newspaper El País in 1976, he held the post until November 1988 when he was appointed editor of the newspaper and CEO of the newspaper and Grupo Prisa. Cebrián is the author of numerous books of essays on journalism and political sociology.
