Matthew Bayley is News Editor at The DailyTelegraph. He began his career in journalism as a trainee reporter on the UK's south coast before moving to Fleet Street ten years ago. Following a two-year posting in Sydney, Australia, he returned to London. In his current role he is responsible for The Telegraph's day-to-day news gathering operation both for print and online including coverage of the Hay Festival in the UK.
