Daniel BERMÚDEZ

(Colombia) Daniel Bermúdez is the architect responsible for the Universidad de los Andes building (1967-1973). He has taught architecture and design at the university since 1975 and played an important role in shaping the architecture curriculum while he was Head of the Professor’s Association in this University in 1995.

Bermúdez is a member of the Architecture investigation team, Ciudad y Educación (ACE). He acted as chair of the Colombian Biennial of Architecture in 1992, 1998 and 2004 and has won awards including the Asocreto Concrete Excellence Award (1998, 2002 and 2004) and the XIII Obras Cemex Award (2004).
