Günter Mayer (Peng)
(Upper Austria, 1959) Interested from a very young age in graphic satire, 30 years ago his cartoons began to appear in different newspapers and magazines in Austria and Germany. He took a doctorate in History of Art and has given classes in Comic Art at the University of Art in Linz and the Kassel Comic Art Summer Academy. He received the Dresden newspaper Sächsische Zeitung’s Deutscher Karikaturenpreis award in 2003 and contributed cartoons to the German channel ARD for their 2007 Tour de France coverage. His cartoons have been widely exhibited. He currently works as a contemporary art curator and director of a cultural centre in Austria.
Rudolf Hurzlmeir (Hu)
(Bavaria, 1952) Lives as a painter, cartoonist and author in Munich, Germany. He is a permanent employee of the satire magazine Titanic. His paintings have been shown in more than 100 exhibitions worldwide, he published over 40 books.
