Peruvian researcher into Andean cultures. A doctor in Peruvian and Latin American Literature. Undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer at the Arts and Social Sciences Faculty of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Visiting lecturer at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte. He has spoken at international conferences in Colombia, Chile and Mexico and is a member of various research centres in France, Mexico and Peru. He has been awarded the Copé Gold Prize, the 2010 International Non-fiction Prize and the 2013 Scientific Merit Prize, awarded by the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
