(Cali, Colombia, 1972) He studied Literature at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and has been living in Spain since the late 1990s. He has published three novels: Iménez (Rocca, 2011), winner of the UPC Science Fiction Award; Donde mueren los payasos (Blackie Books, 2013); and Mediocristán es un país tranquilo (Random, 2014), shortlisted for the 2016 National Novel Prize. His most recent book is the collection Razones para desconfiar de sus vecinos (Random House, 2015).
